Tucked away in a small, unassuming shop in Daly City is my favorite sushi spot in the Bay Area. Tiny Sushi - Oh Baby is a restraurant that will leave a big impact on your stomach and soul. Using the freshest ingredients, the chefs expertly craft delicious sushi that rivals the sushi I’ve had in Japan.
Seared Salmon Toro
Hamachi Truffle
If you go here, I highly recommend getting the Seared Salmon Toro. It will literally melt in your mouth. I’m not exaggerating when I say it is the best tasting fish I’ve had in my life. I also highly recommend getting the Hamachi Truffle and the Oh Baby Box.
The Oh Baby Box (very appropiately named) is my favorite dish to get here. It consists of seared salmon toro, Hokkaido scallops, Uni, real crab meat, and Ikura over a bed of rice. The ingredients form a beautiful harmony of flavors and will leave you saying “oh baby” after having it. I often find myself daydreaming about this dish.
Oh Baby Box
The food in itself is already mind-blowing. What puts this place over the top is its hospitality. If you ever eat here, you’ll likely meet, Jack, the amazing server who instantly makes you feel like you’ve been a loyal customer for years. Walking into this shop feels more like you’re dining at a friend’s house. There is not a lot of seating here (about 3 tables and counter seating), but the atmosphere is extremely cozy and intimate. You’ll likely meet other customers who are dedicated regulars because this restaurant is just that magical. It’s a perfect combination of amazing food, stellar hospitality, and intimate atmosphere that is very hard to find.
